Black Spark White Fir is much more than just the name of Amadi's long and eagerly awaited new album. It is the universal story of humanity's shared African roots and origins and of the pain and passion of mankind's mutual quest to achieve peaceful cooperation. 'Black Spark White Lire' speaks to the creation of culture, music, art, mathe-matics and science in ancient Africa and subsequent global resurgence of this ancient knowledge ring modem times through European science and technology. Nevertheless "Black Spark White Fire'"- the album - has a musical message, mood and tempo for just about everyone. "Black Spark White Fire'", has it all, from beautiful ballad like serenades, to hardcore roots and lovers -rock selections, to sweet-shuffling Jazz, to authentic Soca (sounding like it was made in T&T), to R&B influenced and up-tempo urban, big city arrangements. Add conscious and/or thoughtful lyrics to such a musical bed and the result is a very appetizing menu of music. Amadi has succeeded in producing an album characterized by superior vocalization and instrumentation. Amadi certainly outdid himself in the wealth of talent he amassed "Black Spark White Fire'" and in the time and effort put into _ all aspect of the production, arrangement, mixing and mastering. He has duets and special guest appearances by a number of standout and veteran vocalists, combined with the instrumental artist of some of Reggae's most accomplished musicians and the technical skills of some of the leading studio engineers in South Florida. CIear1y Amadi's intention is to the small spark from his songs to create a big musical fire. He's obviously right on track. So more sparks and more fire!
